Fully powered by renewable energy, the new Bee’ah Headquarters has been designed by Zaha Hadid Architects to resemble a series of intersecting sand dunes that blend harmoniously into the desert landscape from which it emerges. 

The 7,000-square-meter Bee’ah Headquarters is located on a 90,000-square-meter site adjacent to the Bee’ah Waste Management Centre in Sharjah, UAE. The large site enabled the development of the design as an array of dunes within its desert landscape leading to the two central dunes of the Headquarters building. 

It is considered to be the first Artificial Intelligence (AI) integrated building in the Middle East and North Africa region and one of the smartest and most sustainable worldwide. The new building and site will also be used as a learning resource to demonstrate practical environmental awareness to the wider community. 
With its ultra-low carbon footprint, minimal water and energy usage and the efficient recycling of construction materials, this LEED Platinum certified project will set a benchmark for all future green construction projects in the Gulf region.

As the whole design was based on the concept of reflecting natural beauty of the surroundings and focusing on Bee’ah commitments as an environmental company, 3S created the lighting that imitates the surroundings through projections of the weather conditions on the building’s rooftop. Through the series of different animation, lighting on the building will show the current weather conditions at any given moment- sand storms, following the wind speed and wind direction, rain, humidity, weather temperature through different colors etc as well as different themes for special occasions.
