The multicolor LED lighting system of the Lotus Parnasala, this 30m tall, magnificent marble building of Santhigiri Ashram, Kerala, India, is the largest of its kind in the world. The monument, in the shape of a lotus in full bloom, consists of 21 petals -12 unfurling in the top layer and 9 towards the base. Each petal on the top extends to 12m in height while the bottom petals are 10m long. 

GVA Lighting’s STR9®-RGB luminaire was used to illuminate both the interior and exterior surfaces of the lotus structure. STR9® Luminaires are mounted in various locations around and within the lotus, on lighting poles and on the structure’s surface itself. 
With a very carefully laid out design, installation and system programming, GVA Lighting and 3S Lighting achieved a truly remarkable installation on a truly remarkable structure.
